Dr. Matt Freeman
DNP, MPH

Dr. Freeman is a doctorally-educated nurse practitioner and epidemiologist, and he has been in practice since 2003.

He moved to Tucson in 2015 from Tel Aviv, Israel. Freeman previously served in clinical management and faculty roles with emphasis on men’s health and adolescent health.

Originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, Freeman attended Shaker Heights High School and Scotch College, Melbourne (Australia).

He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University, a Master of Public Health in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from the Yale School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from The Ohio State University, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Duke University

 

Andrew Varalli
PMHNP

Andrew Varalli is a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. has been in practice for almost nine years. He earned a masters in nursing from the University of Rochester, and a bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Buffalo.

As with the rest of our practice, he takes great interest in the behavioral health concerns affecting men, adolescents, and first responders.

 

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with masters or doctoral degrees. Since the early 1970s, NPs have served in a variety of settings, including primary care and psychiatry. Nurse practitioners have the education and experience to diagnose illnesses, order tests, prescribe medication, admit patients to the hospital, and provide health education.

Epidemiologists

Epidemiologists study the statistical analysis of diseases and treatments, public policy decisions, and the effectiveness of health interventions among populations.
